Eze has a release clause in his contract worth £67.5m plus add-ons, which expires before the new Premier League season kicks off on August 16.
Palace are said to be demanding that Arsenal pay more than half of that fee (£35m) upfront.
Arsenal are looking to bolster their ranks and add more depth to Arteta’s attacking options, and Eze checks all the boxes for the Gunners.
His flair, creativity, and ability to glide past defenders would make him an ideal fit in Arteta’s squad.
Eze is predominantly an attacking midfielder and thrives when handed freedom in the final third, but he has also been effective on the left wing.
