NWSL rivalry weekend did not disappoint, with rowdy crowds, last-minute goals, and of course, some upsets. Going into the weekend, the big news was Kansas City Current adding young star Ally Sentnor, after being traded the previous week from Utah Royals.

The Current actually faced Utah this weekend, so Sentnor got to face her former team right away. The Current kept their winning streak alive, defeating the Royals 1-0 thanks to an 82nd-minute goal from Temwa Chawinga.

Also across the league, the Cascadia rivalry was on display, with Portland Thorns jumping ahead of Seattle Reign in the league standings after a thrilling 4-2 victory. In New Jersey, Gotham FC played the Washington Spirit to a 0-0 draw, with all kinds of drama – from the return of Trinity Rodman to Esther Gonzalez back in action for Gotham.
