Arsenal have agreed personal terms to sign a fourth player for Mikel Arteta this summer.
After a subdued start to the summer transfer window, the Gunners are set to bolster Arteta’s squad with a number of new signings.
Arsenal’s £55m deal for Martin Zubimendi is expected to be confirmed next week after Real Sociedad requested the transfer be pushed back until July.
The Gunners have also agreed a £5m deal with Chelsea to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga, once the most expensive goalkeeper in the world.
Meanwhile, Arsenal expect to sign Christian Norgaard from Brentford and have already made arrangements for the midfielder’s medical at the Emirates Stadium.

A fourth summer signing is also in the works with Arsenal agreeing personal terms with Cristhian Mosquera over a move from Valencia.
Arsenal’s opening offer for Mosquera has been rejected but the Premier League side are ready to return with an improved bid.
The bid Valencia rejected was reportedly worth around £12m and the La Liga side are asking for around double that amount.
Mosquera joined Valencia at the age of 12 and has made 90 first-team appearances since earning his debut in 2022.
The centre-back has represented Spain at numerous youth levels and has been tipped as a future international star.

‘I would like them to continue growing here because they can still bring a lot of joy to the fans,’ Valencia skipper Jose Gaya told A Punt when pressed on rumours Cesar Tarrega, Yarek Gasiorowski and Mosquera could all leave the club this summer.
Mosquera will bolster Arteta’s defensive options and provide cover and competition for the impressive centre-back partnership of William Saliba and Gabriel.
Gabriel recently committed his long-term future to Arsenal but Saliba has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid over the past 12 months.
The arrival of Mosquera may open the door to Jakub Kiwior leaving Arsenal as the Poland international continues to be linked with AC Milan.
Arsenal are open to offers for Oleksandr Zinchenko and have already released Kieran Tierney, who has returned to Celtic following his six-year spell in north London.
Arteta is keen to bolster a number of areas of his squad after going another season without a trophy.
Arsenal did, however, push Liverpool closest in the Premier League title race and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they were eliminated by eventual winners PSG.
