EA Sports FC 26 has finally released its first list of this year’s highest-rated players, showcasing the best in the world. Honestly, the results are quite surprising.
This list includes 26 players with overall ratings ranging from 91 to 88. Liverpool FC’s Mohamed Salah takes the top spot with a 91 OVR and top-tier stats like dribbling, shooting, and pace. Kylian Mbappé, with the same 91 overall rating, is second, leading the EA FC 26 player ratings table.
Of course, every fan wants their favourite team’s players to be highly rated, but given the current competitive landscape of world-class players, even making the top 20 is incredibly difficult.
Arsenal fans likely share this sentiment. After all, Arsenal’s 2024-25 season was severely impacted by injuries and suspensions to key players, resulting in them dropping 21 points from the lead, their worst single-season record. Furthermore, because of Edu Gaspar’s sudden resignation midway through the season, the club failed to sign any players during the winter transfer window, significantly diminishing the team’s competitiveness.

First and foremost, the highest-rated Arsenal player in FC 26 is Gabriel dos S. Magalhaes, who tied with Bukayo Saka for 88 OVR this year.
It is not surprising that Bukayo Saka is the highest-rated Arsenal player in FIFA 26, but Gabriel’s inclusion in the list is something many people did not expect.

Furthermore, defenders are consistently rated lower than midfielders and forwards, requiring them to work twice as hard to achieve the same rating.
But Gabriel’s rating has now increased by +2, perhaps signalling that his efforts have finally been recognised by the developers. This year, Gabriel has steadily become Arsenal’s most important player!

Bukayo Saka is a powerful right-wing player who led Arsenal to numerous victories with his tactical styles, including Technical and Whipped Pass+, and his exceptional dribbling and passing abilities. While Saka hasn’t won the Premier League or Champions League, his quality is undeniable.
In the 2024-25 season, despite a hamstring injury sidelining him for three months, he still managed 12 goals and 13 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions. However, in the past three seasons, he’s reached double figures for both goals and assists, placing him among the top scorers in the Premier League.
However, his weaknesses are also evident: his through-ball handling is inconsistent, his physicality is lacking, and his rating may be lower than his true potential. However, his specific strengths vary depending on the card type and player evolution, with some special versions offering significant improvements in shooting and pace.
Last season, Saka’s rating was 87, a mere one-point improvement, but it demonstrates that he still has room for improvement. Therefore, Bukayo Saka is absolutely the perfect investment.
