What is the format?
The Laver Cup sees Team Europe face Team World, with each side captained by a famous face and made up of six players.
The three highest-ranked players from each region receive an automatic invitation, while there are also three captain picks.
The tournament will run over three days, from Friday, September 19 to Sunday, September 21.
There will be three singles matches on both Friday and Saturday, and each day will be concluded by a doubles match.
Sunday will start with a doubles match and will be followed by up to three singles matches, depending on whether a team has reached the required points tally to claim victory.
Each match win is worth one point on Friday, two points on Saturday and three points on Sunday, and the first team to reach 13 points is crowned the winner.
The tournament rotates each year between venues in Europe and in the rest of the world, with this year’s edition held at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
What happened last year?
Team World had led 11-7 going into the penultimate match of the tournament, but wins for Alexander Zverev and Alcaraz saw Europe secure a final-day comeback in Berlin.
The result means Europe currently lead the all-time Laver Cup series 5-2.

Who is playing at the 2025 Laver Cup?
Newly-crowned world No. 1 Alcaraz is the headline name for Team Europe, and will be joined by world No. 3 Alexander Zverev.
The team will be made up of Holger Rune, Casper Ruud, Jakub Mensik and Flavio Cobolli, while Yannick Noah captains the side in place of Bjorn Borg, with Tim Henman as vice-captain.
Team World comprises world No.5 Fritz and world No.8 Alex de Minaur, as well as Francisco Cerundolo, Alex Michelsen, Joao Fonseca and Reilly Opelka.
The team will be captained by former world No. 1 Andre Agassi, who replaces John McEnroe, while the vice-captain will be Pat Rafter.
How to watch
The action kicks off at 9pm UK time on TNT Sports 4 on Friday, September 19.
The second match will follow immediately after, before the action resumes for the second set of matches at 5am on Saturday.
Coverage of the second day will also start at 9pm on TNT Sports 3, before coverage of Sunday’s final round of matches gets under way at 8pm on TNT Sports 4.
