The eighth edition of the Laver Cup will see the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev and Taylor Fritz return to the court as Team Europe take on Team World in San Francisco.

Federer’s Europe went on to win again in Chicago, with Federer again claiming victories in singles matches against Kyrgios and America’s John Isner, but losing both of his doubles matches when partnered with Novak Djokovic and Zverev respectively.

In Geneva, it took a tie-breaker in the final match for Europe to lift the Laver Cup trophy for a third consecutive year. For his part, Federer beat Kyrgios and Isner in the singles for a second time in succession.

The tennis great then wrapped up his career in London, playing alongside Nadal in a doubles match for his last-ever outing. Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe won the match, while Team World ultimately triumphed at the event.

Overall, Federer won all six of his Laver Cup singles matches, racking up 15 points, while he earned two victories and lost four times in the doubles.

In Prague, the Spanish icon beat Sock and lost to Isner in the singles, while he also teamed up with Federer to claim victory in the doubles against Sock and Sam Querrey.

That year, Nadal also played doubles alongside Tomas Berdych, with the duo losing their encounter against Sock and Kyrgios.

In Geneva, two years later, Nadal played twice, beating Milos Raonic in the singles before, while partnered with Stefanos Tsitsipas, losing to Sock and Kyrgios in the doubles for the second year in a row.

Nadal’s final Laver Cup encounter was in that aforementioned historic doubles match alongside Federer in London.

Ultimately, the Spanish great recorded two victories and one defeat in his three Laver Cup singles matches.
