“She’s starting strong again and, as an individual player, she has a lot of quality, out of possession, but also on the ball; she can run in from behind.

“She’s a complete player, and confident to score. It’s great for us and the team.”

Former England international Fran Kirby set up the opener as Brighton beat West Ham 4-1 to record their first win of the season.

Rosa Kafaji made sure of things shortly after for Brighton with a superb effort into the top corner before Marisa Olislagers added a fourth in the closing stages.

One of the heroes from England’s Euro 2025 campaign led the line for the Seagulls in the form of Arsenal loanee Michelle Agyemang.

However, she was unable to score her first goal of the WSL season.

West Ham are bottom of the table without a point this season while Brighton are sixth.

There were no goals for England stars Alessia Russo and Ella Toone as Arsenal were held to a 0-0 draw by Manchester United at Leigh Sports Village Stadium.

Frida Maanum went closest for the Gunners, but her attempt just moments after coming on went wide of the post.

Toone took aim from distance in the closing stages of the match, but her effort did not trouble Arsenal goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar, and the match finished goalless.
