Barca face Liverpool challenge in Alvarez chase

Barcelona face a battle in their pursuit of Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, with Liverpool also reportedly keen on the player’s signature.

Alvarez, who moved to Madrid from Manchester City in 2024, caught the attention of Barca following an impressive debut season in the Spanish capital.

The Argentine bagged 29 goals in all competitions, leading to the Camp Nou club placing him high on their shopping list for 2026.

Mourinho wants Benzema reunion

Jose Mourinho’s first order of business following his return to Benfica is an apparent reunion with Karim Benzema.

The two previously worked together at Real Madrid, and Mourinho is keen to bring the Frenchman to Portugal.

According to transfer expert Ekrem KonurBenzema’s current club Al Ittihad would be willing to listen to offers for the player, but he would have to take a pay cut for any move to take place.

Konur also says other clubs are interested.

Dortmund interested in Bardghji loan

Barcelona could allow summer signing Roony Bardghji to leave the club on loan in January to get more playing time.

With Barcelona keen for him to get some minutes under his belt, the Bundesliga could be the destination for him to get some much-needed game time, according to Fichajes.
