As many Arsenal fans often say, Martinelli has the perfect profile for a centre-forward. He started his Gunners career in the position.
The 24-year-old has the pace and dribbling skills to get behind defences. His finishing has been a cause for concern over the years.
Prior to this season, Martinelli has scored nine goals from just 16 appearances, starting as a number nine for the Gunners.
Arteta won’t get a better chance to field Martinelli upfront than tomorrow. Another goalscoring return would further boost his confidence.
