“The conditions are stipulated, so there’s no need to discuss anything. If he accepts the first ones, he’s renewed; if he wants to earn more than Mbappe, he has to leave in a year and a half.
“Real Madrid isn’t going to force anything, nor will they say, ‘Come on, please renew.’
“Madrid has even thought, ‘Look, he cost €45m’. If in a year and a half he wants to leave for free, Madrid will accept it. Madrid does not want anyone that doesn’t want to be here.
“If Vinicius doesn’t want to renew, and doesn’t want to be here, Madrid won’t force him. They won’t say: ‘Come on, (we will offer) more than Mbappe’.
“The thing is, they haven’t done that with anyone. They haven’t done that with more important players either. If Vinicius thinks Madrid is nervous because time is passing, my advice is, ‘You have a problem’.”
Leao reveals Inter snub before AC Milan move
AC Milan star Rafael Leao revealed he turned down a move to Inter in 2019, before joining their rivals on a permanent deal from Lille.
“I said: ‘No. I did well this season. I want to stay one more season to build my name and feel more comfortable for the next challenge.’
“It was my first professional season. He said it was a good opportunity for them and for me, big money. But I said: ‘No, Inter, no.’”

Leao continued: “After a couple of weeks, the director returned and said Milan were interested.
“I was like: ‘Milan, yeah.’ If they come with an offer, I will accept. In a couple of days, he said they’d come with an offer and then said: ‘Someone wants to talk to you.’
“He passed me the phone, and it was (Paolo) Maldini: ‘You have to come‘. Bro, done.
“You can’t say no. Since I was a kid, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Kaka, and (Clarence) Seedorf. Those kinds of players you used to watch and hear a lot about.”
