As the month of September nears its end, La Liga has officially announced the nominees for the monthly awards and needless to say, Barcelona stars dominate the list.
Three Barcelona stars have been nominated in four different award categories following a month that saw them secure two wins in three matches, including a 6-0 victory over Valencia.
Who are the nominees?
Hansi Flick has been unsurprisingly nominated for the Coach of the Month award for guiding Barcelona to impressive wins over Valencia and Getafe.

Flick has been nominated alongside Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso and Elche’s Eder Sarabia. However, it must be admitted that Alonso is a red-hot favourite to win this category as Real Madrid have retained a hundred percent winning record.
Pedrimeanwhile, has been nominated for La Liga’s Player of the Month for September, alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Etta Eyong, Pablo Fornals and Ruben Vargas.
This comes after the Barcelona midfielder finished 11th in the Ballon d’Or rankings, much to the disappointment of Women’s Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati.

One would expect Pedri and Mbappe to fight it out for this award category, with Mbappe being the slight favourite owing to his four goals and an assist in September.
Fermin Lopez is the third nominee for Barcelona, with the Spaniard, despite his recent injury, being nominated for two different award categories.

Fermin is a candidate for the Best Young Player for the Month award as well as the Goal of the Month award, for his brilliant finish from distance against Valencia.
Fermin’s performance against Valencia was quite impressive, but it remains to be seen whether or not that will be enough to bag him either of the two award categories.
