This Sunday, Barcelona Will Face Real Sociedad At the Estadi Olílpic Lluis Companys After Two Matches at Estadi Johan Cruyff.
The club officially confirmed that the fixture against the White-blue will be held at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in Montjuic, as their return to the Spotify Camp Nou could not yet be secured.
One of the main concerns about Montjuic was the condition of the pitch, which had to be relaid after several months without football and following multiple concerts.
A few days ago, images of the stadium went viral on social media, raising doubts over whether the turf would be ready for Sunday.
Pitch ready for match
However, those concerns have proven unfounded. On Thursday, the process was completed, and the pitch at Montjuic is now ready for action, reports SPORT.
Barcelona will play their next two home matches there: against Real Sociedad and PSG. The grass has been installed, with only a small finishing section left to complete the stitching process.

Aerial photographs of the stadium on Tuesday, showing the pitch being laid, had emerged on Tuesday. Two days later, the work has been finished and the ground is now set for football.
This will be the second stadium where Barcelona play home matches this season, following their two victories at Estadi Johan Cruyff.
It has been an unusual campaign for the Catalans, who have been moving from stadium to stadium while waiting for the Barcelona City Council to give the green light for their return to the iconic stadium.
The board’s hope is to finally return to the Spotify Camp Nou on 18 October against Girona, a date now circled on the calendar as the club’s expected homecoming.
In the meantime, Montjuic will once again host the Blaugrana for the third consecutive season, and with the pitch installed, everything is ready for Barcelona v Real Sociedad this Sunday.
