Yacine Adli is expected to leave Milan this summer, having received a ‘Milan Futuro threat’, and he has admirers in Qatar as well as Saudi Arabia.
Having been officially let go by Fiorentina, who opted not to trigger their buy-out clause, Adli and his entourage need to find a new club for next season. Because he won’t stay at Milan, unless he wants to spend his time with the Futuro side.
Milan don’t need a massive amount to break even on the player, which is the good news, but finding a destination that suits all parties might be easier said than done.
Adli rejects move to Russia
According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, as transcribed by MilanNewsAdli has rejected a move to Russia and Spartak Moscow. The club reportedly made a hefty offer to Milan, but the player isn’t keen on playing in the country.
As such, both Milan and Adli have turned their attention to offers from Qatar and Saudi Arabia. There is nothing concrete as things stand, and whether the player will actually accept a move outside of Europe remains to be seen, but the options are there.
The prospect of playing the 2025-26 season with the Futuro has probably forced Adli to realise that he won’t be able to convince Max Allegri during pre-season. Even though he’s a very good teammate and person, Milan need quality above all else for the upcoming campaign.
