Adobe Women’s FA Cup: Burnley face Blackburn Rovers in Lancashire derby, Peterborough United take on Real Bedford in first-round draw


The Lancashire derby will see Blackburn, who sit bottom of the WPL Division One North take on a Burnley outfit flying high in the WPL Premier Division, with the tie set to take place on Sunday, October 26.
The regionalised first-round draw, which was streamed live from Wembley Stadium on TNT Sports and discovery+featured a spate of local derbies, with Peterborough United set to face Real Bedford, and Wolverhampton Wanderers taking on Rugby Borough.

Elsewhere, Manchester Laces, who are making their maiden appearance in the first round, earned themselves a home tie against Wallsend BC, while Maidstone United, in the first-round pot for the first time this millennium, face a tricky trip to Plymouth Argyle.

Clubs from the Women’s Super League 2 will join the competition from the third round, which takes place on Sunday, December 14, while Women’s Super League outfits enter at the fourth round on January 18, 2026.
