The 32-year-old has scored 21 goals and provided four assists in 15 appearances across all competitions during the 2025/2026 campaign, making him an early front-runner for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Kane finished 13th in this year’s rankings, but he says that winning the most coveted individual honour in world football is still one of his goals.
“But essentially, it is a team trophy that the best individual from that team wins.
“So unless you win the biggest competitions, it is going to be a Champions League winner or a World Cup winner this time around.
“I would love to win it for sure, it would be an accumulation of doing something great individually and as a team. It would be almost the perfect season.

“The opportunity is there when you are playing at a club like Bayern and competing at the highest level – always one of the favourites to win the Champions League – and with England we are going to be one of the favourites to win the World Cup, so, yeah, there is a long way from now until then.
“But if I keep doing what I am doing and we have a successful season with club and country then there is a chance to do that.”

Kane was criticised for never winning a major trophy during his time in the Premier League with Tottenham, despite establishing himself as one of the most clinical goalscorers in the history of English football.
Since arriving in Germany, he has won the Bundesliga and the German Super Cup, but he insists that he wants to add to his trophy cabinet in years to come.
“I think I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy,” he added.
“Obviously, there’s still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
“But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
“And I think going into this pre-season, obviously had a tough summer with the Club World Cup, and then not a lot of time to process everything and then straight back into the season.
“I think it could have been easy to just go the other day and maybe be a bit more relaxed. But for sure, I pushed myself the other way, in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I’ve got right now.”
