Zirkzee prepared to quit Utd
Juventus and Como have both been linked with a move for Manchester United striker Joshua Zirzkee.
The Dutch forward is struggling for minutes at Old Trafford, and The Sun believes he could leave this winter.
“The forward, 24, is yet to start a match for the Red Devils this season.
“Napoli, who signed Hojlund on loan, had initially been keen on Zirkzee.
“The likes of Juventus and PSV Eindhoven also showed interest.
“Ambitious Serie A side Como could make a swoop for Zirkzee in January, should his position remain unchanged.
“And Juve too remain interested.
“Zirkzee is under contract at Old Trafford until 2029, with the Red Devils possessing an option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.”
United trial new keeper
The Daily Mail reports that 19-year-old Polish goalkeeper Adrian Janusz was named on the bench for a recent Manchester United Under-21 match.
He is not the only keeper in United’s sights, as they also gave Abdulla Al-Hammadi a chance to impress recently.
“Adrian Janusz – no, you read that right – was among the substitutes and Confidential understands the free-agent goalkeeper is currently on trial. United recently had a look at UAE stopper Abdulla Al-Hammadi over a number of weeks, but he did not sign a deal.
“Polish 19-year-old Janusz has bounced around clubs having had spells at Newcastle United – where he trained with the first team on occasion – and Brentford, as well as non-league stints with Gateshead and Ashington.”
Reguilon tipped to replace Alba
Jordi Alba’s imminent retirement from football has led MLS side Inter Miami to look for a replacement, according to The Mirror.
They have identified Sergio Reguilon as a candidate, and the 28-year-old could make the move as a free agent after leaving Tottenham in the summer.
“The Major League Soccer club are on the lookout for a new left-back after Reguilon’s fellow Spain international Jordi Alba confirmed this season would be his last.
“Reguilon, 28, has been a free agent since leaving Tottenham Hotspur when his contract expired in June. He spent five seasons with the North London club but only made 73 appearances during that period, spending time out on loan at Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Brentford.
“The Floridian side are preparing for a busy summer, with Sergio Busquets also set to retire. There are also question marks over the long-term future of two of their other ex-Barcelona players, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.”
What next for Moore?
The Evening Standard reports that Tottenham have a recall clause in their loan for Mikey Moore to Rangers, which could be exercised in January.
“The 18-year-old arrived in Glasgow in the summer having just signed a new long-term contract at Tottenham and with grand ambitions, declaring he wanted to ‘play in the biggest competitions and be one of the best players in the world’.
“Moore has made ten appearances across all competitions, six of those coming from the start, but is yet to score or assist for the club.
“Spurs are understood to have the option to recall Moore from his loan move. There are no immediate plans to do so, but a number of Championship clubs are believed to be keen on signing the teenager.
“It is therefore a crucial few months ahead before the January transfer window, with it important both that Moore is regularly playing and that he is developing.”
