
Coach Sarina Wiegman has named a 25-player squad for England Women’s upcoming friendly games against Brazil and Australia.
England will host South American champions Brazil at the Etihad Stadium on October 25, before hosting Australia three days later.
The list includes Arsenal’s Katie Reid, Alessia Russo, Beth Mead, Chloe Kelly, Lotte Wubben-Moy and Taylor Hinds.
Reid has earned her maiden call-up after her impressive start to the season, which saw her win the clubs Player of the Month award for September.
The 19-year-old has formed a formidable partnership with Steph Catley in the central heart of Arsenal’s defence.
Reid has played across various England youth levels and will now be looking forward to making her senior bow.
Hinds also her earned first call-up to the European Championship title-winning squad.
The left-back, who rejoined Arsenal from Liverpool this summer, previously made her senior debut for Jamaica before switching back to England, where she represented the country at the youth level.
She was part of the England squad that won Bronze at the the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France.
By contrast, Wubben-Moy, Mead, Kelly and Russo were all part of the European championship squad last summer.
Wubben-Moy did not play any minute during the the tournament but the others played a vital role to help England win the competition for the second consecutive time.
Russo registered five goal involvements, Mead had two assists and Kelly scored the winning penalty against Spain in the final.
Michelle Agyemang, currently on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, was also named in the squad, following her brilliant performance at the Euros, where she won the Young Player of the Tournament.
