Arsenal return to Premier League action against Fulham at Craven Cottage tomorrow.
Ahead of the London derby, manager Mikel Arteta could make a couple of changes from the 2-0 win over West Ham United.
Martin Odegaard started against the Hammers before the October international break.
He picked up a medial cruciate ligament injury in the opening half and was replaced by Martin Zubimendi in the 30th minute.
The club captain has now been ruled out for several weeks and may not return until after the November international break.
With Odegaard sidelined, Arteta has an easy decision to reinstate Zubimendi in the heart of the midfield against Fulham.
Zubimendi was spotted watching yesterday’s training session on the sidelines alongside sporting director Andrea Berta.
He did not appear to pick up a knock on international duty, and we believe it was more of a precaution to keep him out.
Zubimendi played a big part in both goals scored against the Hammers and should make the starting XI if deemed fit.
Alongside Odegaard, Leandro Trossard could be the other player to make way from the starting line-up.
Trossard has started the last three league games on the left wing for the north London giants, but has not made a direct goal contribution.
There could be a switch with Gabriel Martinelli, who dominated proceedings against Fulham right-back Timothy Castagne at the Emirates Stadium in April.
Martinelli won two dribbles and regularly got behind the Belgian with his pace. He capped his performance with an assist for the second goal (2-1 win).
The £48 million-rated star has four goals and an assist in his last seven games for club and country.
It appears a no-brainer decision to start him on the left wing ahead of Trossard against Fulham.
