Three Arsenal stars named in 2025 FIFPRO World XI

Three Arsenal Women players have been recognised among the best in world football after being named in the 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World XI.

Leah Williamson, Chloe Kelly and Alessia Russo made the final selection, following a season filled with success for both club and country.

The FIFPRO World XI remains the only global football award chosen entirely by professional players.

This year, more than 26,000 footballers from 68 countries took part in the voting process to decide who made the final list.

All three Arsenal players enjoyed a remarkable campaign, playing crucial roles as their club lifted the UEFA Women’s Champions League title and also celebrated international success at the Women’s Euro 2025.

Their consistent displays throughout the season did not go unnoticed by their fellow professionals.

Williamson, who continues to be a key figure for both Arsenal and England, was once again recognised for her leadership and composure in defence.

This marks her second appearance in the FIFPRO World XI, following her previous selection in 2022.

Kelly earns first honour, Russo secures second appearance

Kelly’s inclusion marks her first appearance in the prestigious team. Her pace, creativity and ability to deliver in crucial moments made her one of the standout performers of the past season.

She played a major part in England’s European triumph and also made key contributions at club level.

Russo earns her second recognition in the World XI, having first been included in 2023. The forward’s sharp finishing, work rate and link-up play have made her a vital player for both Arsenal and the national team.

Their inclusion highlights the growing influence of Arsenal Women on the global stage and underlines the strength of English players in world football.
