Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique has named ‘the best team in Europe’ after his side were beaten in the Champions League on Tuesday.
French club PSG are the defending champions in the elite European club competition having defeated Italian side Inter Milan in the 2024-25 final.
In this season’s league phase, only two teams have won all four of their opening matches – Bayern Munich of Germany and Arsenal of England.
Bayern have scored 14 goals across their four games – three more than Arsenal – but the Gunners are yet to concede a Champions League goal.

Bayern are viewed as the second biggest favourites, with Vincent Kompany’s team given a 13.51 per cent chance of coming out on top.
But PSG boss Enrique is convinced Bayern are the best team in Europe at this moment in time.
‘At 11 against 11, Bayern were stronger (than us), without a doubt,’ Enrique said after PSG lost 2-1 to the Bundesliga champions on Tuesday.
‘You play against the best team in Europe, with the best results, and they pressed us at a high level.’
Interestingly, Bayern and Arsenal lock horns in their next Champions League match at the Emirates on November 26.
According to Sky BetArsenal are the main favourites for Champions League glory this term with odds of 4/1.
Bayern are a 9/2 shot, ahead of PSG at 11/2, while Barcelona and Liverpool are both 13/2.
Arsenal have never won the Champions League title in their entire history but did reach the semi-finals last season – losing to PSG over two legs.
After Arsenal’s exit in the last four, Mikel Arteta claimed that PSG staff admitted his Gunners side were ‘much better than them’.
‘The feedback that I got straightaway from their bench is that we were much better than them,’ Arteta said following Arsenal’s loss to PSG.
‘When you look at the two games, their best player on the pitch has been their goalkeeper.
‘He has made the difference for them in the tie and I think we were very close, much closer than our results showed. But unfortunately we are out.
‘I am very proud of the players, what we done today, the way we started, how we handled the pressure, the amount of pressure. After 20 minutes it should have been 3-0. But they did something extra.’
