“If he doesn’t renew, there are two scenarios,” Mundo Deportivo claimed. “He could continue to fulfill his current contract and become a free agent in June, or a club could pay his €20m (£17m) buyout clause.”
On Las Palmas’ Marmol, the publications added: “Las Palmas is demanding payment of his €10m (£8.6m) buyout clause. (His contract) also expires in 2026, and Girona has placed him among its priorities for strengthening their defense. Of that amount, half would go to Barca.”

“Theo initially said no, but upon seeing negotiations with Atletico Madrid fall through, he opened up to Saudi Arabia.
“Al-Hilal offered him a contract worth €20m per season (£17m).
“An agreement between the clubs remains to be found, however. Al-Hilal offered €20m plus €5m (£4.3m) in bonuses. Milan would like €25m (£21m) up front.”
