Team USA Women’s dominates Japan in Olympic 2020 Final rematch


The USA Women’s National
Basketball Team wasted no time in establishing its dominance in the
competition after blowing out Japan, 102-76, at the Pierre de
Mauroy Stadium in Lille, France for the Paris Olympics.

Gunning for their 8th straight
gold medal, Team USA made quick work of Japan whom they faced in
the last Olympics gold medal match in Tokyo 2020. Five players
scored in double figures for the Americans, led by A’Ja Wilson’s 24
points and Breanna Stewart’s 22 points.

Wilson added 13 rebounds, 4
assists, and 4 blocks while Stewart had 8 assists, 3 assists, and 3
blocks of her own as Team USA ran away with the victory. Kelsey
Plum, Sabrina Ionescu and Brittney Griner each added 11 points,
while Chelsea Gray led Team USA with 13 assists, for a whopping 35
total assists for the team.

Next up for Team USA is a battle
between Belgium as they figure to be in the ‘Group of Death’ in
this year’s version of the Games.
