The Boston Celtics and the
Dallas Mavericks took care of their respective matchups on Day 26
of the 2024 NBA Playoffs on Wednesday night with significant
implications in their series.
The Celtics drew in another
gentleman’s sweep after beating the Cleveland Cavaliers at home to
finish the series 4-1. Boston has not yet hacked real adversity in
these playoffs after harvesting the same outcome in the first round
against the Miami Heat. They now await comfortably to go up against
the winner of the Knicks-Pacers series who are currently going
head-to-head with New York leading 3-2.
The Mavericks overcame a
sluggish end in Game 4 to a rousing win in Game 5 on the road to
lead the series 3-2 against Oklahoma City. Dallas used their
physicality and experience over the young Thunder team with their
backs now against the wall come Game 6.
