The Atlanta Hawks will have a
big decision to make in the offseason after winning the jackpot in
the 2024 NBA Draft Lottery on Sunday afternoon.
The Hawks were big winners by
landing the No.1 pick despite having only the 10th best odds coming
into the lottery. The Detroit Pistons, who had the league’s worst
record and a share of the best odds, got unlucky and just landed
the 5th overall pick.
The Washington Wizards struck
gold as well by landing the 2nd overall pick while the Houston
Rockets and the San Antonio Spurs rounded out the top 4 with the
3rd and 4th overall picks respectively.
Despite a relatively weak draft
this year as regarded by most scouts, teams will have options to
choose from and make their team better in Alex Sarr, Zaccharie
Rissacher, Ron Holland, Matas Buzelis, and others.
