Ruben Amorim could be set to lose one of his most experienced players with Manchester United set to begin their pre-season tour.
The Red Devils stepped up their preparation for the new campaign with a 0–0 draw against Leeds United last week and are back in action against West Ham in New Jersey on Sunday.
Luke Shaw is part of the Untied squad that trained in Chicago on Thursday but his long-term future appears increasingly uncertain.
According to the The Sunthe England international is ready to quit Old Trafford after 11 years a the club.
The 30-year-old has two years left on his current contract and although Ruben Amorim would like to retain Shaw’s services, the player accepts he is no longer first choice in his favoured position.

Diogo Dalot, Patrick Dorgu, and summer signing Diego Leon are all likely to rival Shaw for first team minutes this season, while Amorim’s preferred 3-5-2 system means Shaw’s main hope of regular action may rely on him being willing to play as an auxiliary centre-half.
The former Southampton star is said to be open to offers from Saudi Arabia where he would likely receive a major increase on his current £150,000-a-week salary.
Even if he does not leave this summer there is the possibility of Shaw departing when the transfer window reopens in January.
He admitted in May that he and his team-mates must question whether they are good enough to wear the shirt after their most dire season in recent memory, which saw them finish 15th in the Premier League.
‘We’re very sorry for what they have had to go through this season. Like I said, it’s been nowhere near good enough, and I can only apologise for that,’ Shaw told BBC Sport.
‘It hurts a lot. This season has not been good enough. Us as players, we have to question if we’re good enough for Man United because this season is not acceptable.
‘Where we are in the league, the results we’ve had, it’s not acceptable for a club like Manchester United that has won multiple trophies and always been one of the biggest teams in the world.
‘After results like this (against Tottenham), the season we’ve had, we have to question ourselves. It’s about where we go from here. Ruben for sure has a plan. He knows exactly what’s needed at this club. He’ll turn it around.’
