Having paid Joan Garcia’s release clause earlier this month, Barcelona have already completed their first signing of the summer.
Owing to their financial situation and the rapidly approaching end of the financial year, the Catalans have placed other operations on hold until the beginning of July. All pending operations, thus, are expected to move rapidly next week.
Nico Williams’ signing is one of the operations that should be fast-tracked next week.
Similarly, SPORT now brings to light that the team’s pursuit of Roony Bardghji is also on a similar track.
Set to close soon
The young Swedish footballer has been on Barcelona’s radar for a long time now as one of the world’s top right-wing talents. The rise of Lamine Yamal, however, meant that not many saw the club still going after his signing.

Last Wednesday, however, Barcelona reached an agreement with FC Copenhagen for the transfer of Bardghji for a fee of €2 million plus variables and the player had a huge part to play in the decision for he only wanted to join the club of his dreams.
As relayed by the outlet, Barcelona’s next official signing will be the young Swedish winger and he is expected to undergo medical tests and sign his new contract with the club next week.
Bardghji has already bid farewell to his teammates at FC Copenhagen and did not even attend the team’s title celebration event this week.
The 19-year-old prodigy is preparing to travel to Catalonia where he will kickstart a new chapter in his career.
As it stands, Hansi Flick will call up the new signing for the pre-season tour. If he meets the expectations of the manager, he will stay in the loop as Yamal’s backup, else a loan to progress his development cannot be ruled out.
